Does This Blog Make My Butt Look Indecisive?

Long time readers know I have something one might call “commitment issues” with finding and sticking to a theme for this blog. When I say theme, I mean the layout/colors/general appearance of this space. I change it often. That might be a blogging taboo or shunned upon, perhaps? Regardless, I do it and shamelessly at that. The only thing I’ve learned about this process is to never get attached to a particular theme because give it enough time and I will eventually hate it.

I would love to extend this lack of commitment to something metaphorical and say that this blog is an extension of me and since I am an ever-evolving person, this blog should be an ever-evolving blog, only that’s not entirely true as I’m only changing its appearance with the same old guts on the inside. Also, it’s an elaborate way of saying I’M INDECISIVE AND EASILY BORED WITH THEMES.

A CSS upgrade or paying someone to design a theme for me would be the answer but not only can I not justify such a purchase right now, but I secretly fear that after I’ve forked over the precious monies for it…..I’ll start to hate it. Then I’ll be unhappy about the way this blog looks and with an empty wallet. Potential lose-lose.

But as you have probably noticed, things look really different around here and the only thing I can guarantee is that I like it (for now, but hopefully forever) and hope you do too.

Please let me know if it’s too bold, or takes too long to load, or the colors make your eyes bleed– whatever is it, and I’ll take it all into consideration.

I really appreciate my readers and don’t want to blind you all so throw me your suggestions, even if it’s preferring the old theme.

So, here it is!

This is my new internet home, please notice that the URL is completely different from my previous blog, so please update your blog roll and the like. Also, since importing and redirecting DefineMature.com into this one doesn’t subscribe my subscribers to this site, please subscribe to this URL instead. Pretty please with cherry on top!

All of the content from DefineMature.com is still on this blog, so it’s the same as it ever was and will continue to be, just with a makeover.

And, goodness, my sister says that the pun in the title isn’t “obvious,” but prove her wrong and tell me that you totally get that “An Amiracan Story” is a play on “An American Story” as in a personal story of my life and I’m American and sort even the “Yes, Amira CAN play these mother, wife, medical professional (to be)” ETC.

I can’t explain, but you know what I mean.

New Site Name Coming Soon

So I’ve been thinking about this here ol’ blog and realized I’ve outgrown its title. Does this mean I’m some sort of functional adult who knows what the heck she’s doing? Not at all. (Well, minimally….)

But a new site name is coming soon to a computer (browser/search/reader?) near you!

I have a new name and just getting it set up with a new domain and all that jazz for now, but in the meantime I’ll still be posting as usual here. It’ll sort of be like this blog is innocently minding its own business, completely unsuspecting of the total hijack and death that awaits it.

But if you won’t tell it, then I won’t either.
