we DID have a baby gate (you know, one of those cheap wooden ones. we found it in a neighbor’s trash and were all GOLLY JEE IT’S USABLE!), but, sadly, we were trying to keep our retarded cat (who doesn’t reaize she can JUMP over a baby gate) out of our bedroom and i wound up tripping over it and breaking it. and that’s the end of that.
