It’s no secret that I have an obsession with chocolate and I don’t mean that sweet, commercial milk chocolate either. But if it’s the only thing around, hey I’m not picky. Simply put -I’d eat my arm if it was covered in chocolate.
Folks, I invite you into the rich and decadent world of dark chocolate, but take heed when I say that you may just go crossed eyed forever at it’s exotic and immensely gratifying flavor. Personally, I enjoy dark chocolate up to 65% cocoa and anymore cocoa after that bitter-fies my taste buds.
Apparently I’m the only person that enjoys the yummalicious treat, but I’m not complaining because that just means there’s more for me. Besides, if I run into someone who happens to find the same joy in dark chocolate, yes that would be nice, but don’t ask me to share.
“What is ‘sha-ring’?”
Whenever I’m in desperate need of chocolate I can only think of one place -The Chocolate Bar. No, not that kind of bar, but a magnificent little shop filled (FILLED TO IT’S EYEBALLS!) with all kinds of unimaginable chocolaty inventions. There is nothing they have not dipped, baked, covered, carved, wrapped, or soaked in chocolate. These wonderful folks even have a vast assortment of different kinds of chocolate. Who knew there was passion fruit chocolate!?!? Who?!
I remember the first time I walked into the shop. I had the dumbest look on my face -eyes too wide open, mouth gaping, tongue hanging to the side, and the only thing I could muster up to was “afhlksfhksfhd” through gurgling in my drool. I just couldn’t believe that they had a water-bottle-sized baby bottle craved entirely out of dark chocolate. Can you just imagine me walking around sucking on a giant chocolate baby bottle? Oh, yes.
There is also a candy shop next to The Chocolate Bar where everything is candy -the people, the door, the sign -EVERYTHING (maybe not). But I’ll tell you one thing, there is too much candy in that shop; I know I got a cavity just looking inside.
And for the record, I don’t have anything against vanilla lovers -hell, my favorite kind of cake is the classic white vanilla- but I think there’s just more with (dark) chocolate. There might be something missing in your life, something deeply troubling you, but you can’t figure out what it is. And I’m hear to tell you..dumplin’, all you need is a chunck of dark chocolate. It kisses all your boo-boos away and gives you an inexpensive high. C’mon on, try it and if you don’t like it you know I’ll eat it.
(dark) chocolate monster,

I was just about getting ready to eat my Ferrero Rochers, but after your post…oh man you just made my moment even better! now it isn’t dark chocolate if you must ask. but hey, chocolate is chocolate
Yes, chocolate is chocolate and I am not one to ever be picky about it.
Perhaps except white chocolate; it’s actually too sweet for me.
Enjoy the Rochers!
